Wedding Skin Prep For Your Big Day
Wedding skin prep routines usually aren’t something on most brides to do lists leading up to wedding day. It’s a universal fear to wake up on your wedding day with a giant pimple though. And it probably won’t be likely that Windex will fix this one. (I couldn’t help myself with the BFGW reference) Follow these simple tips to make sure you get that gorgeous bridal glow.
It doesn’t matter if it’s 85 and sunny or 35 and cloudy, put on your sunscreen. There is nothing worse than being burnt or having an uneven tan because you forgot to use your SPF. If you’re planning to be outside all day, don’t forget to reapply every 30 minutes too. You’ll thank me for this one later. Find one of my all time favorite facial sunscreens here.
As you’re putting the finishing touches on wedding planning, it’s completely normal to feel stressed. As you’re sitting at the table, be conscious of where your hands are and try to keep them off your face. Fingers track a lot of dirt throughout the day, and you definitely don’t want it to end up in your pores.
Drink Like It’s Your Job
Water, that is. Keeping yourself hydrated is not only important for your body, but it also keeps your skin feeling fresh. Water helps flush out any toxins in your body, including from your skin so drink up!
Stick To What You Know
This isn’t the time to try out a new face wash or foundation leading up to the wedding. I know it’s exciting to experiment, and trust me – I can also spend hours in Ulta, but save the new products for after the wedding. A really bad reaction could last up to 6 weeks so stick to the products you know your skin does well with.
Stay disciplined and you’ll have flawless skin on your wedding day. Time to glow!
