How To Take Amazing Wedding Photos With Dogs
Taking wedding photos with dogs, or just about any of your other furry friends, can be quite the challenge! These days, couples are incorporating all family members, humans and pets, into their special day. While I love seeing a little ring bearer walk down the aisle, I have to admit it is so precious to see the bride’s or groom’s childhood pet included in the ceremony. If you’re thinking about having your dog in your wedding pictures, read below for some tips to plan ahead!
Find A Pet Sitter
Assign someone who can take care of your dogs during the ceremony and pictures. It’s often hard to get good wedding photos with dogs who are super energetic, so having someone play with them and watch them all day should help get rid of some of that energy. Plus, you don’t want to have to take care of your pets in the middle of the ceremony. You have enough stuff to do, like getting married!
Inform Your Wedding Party
This tip’s actually for the humans, but it relates, I promise! Make sure you tell your bridal party if you plan to have your dogs in your wedding photos. Some people are severely allergic, and will need to prepare accordingly, to make sure everyone looks and feels their best.
Try It On
If you got to try on your wedding dress, you owe it to your dogs to test out the outfit or props with them before the wedding day. Some dogs will cooperate just fine, and others can’t wait to rip things off. Test out the flowers or outfit with your dogs a few days leading up to the wedding to make sure they’re comfortable. It will be much easier to have them look at the camera and stand still if they aren’t irritated!
While I know there’s some prep work that needs to take place, it’ll be worth it to have your furry friend be part of your day.
P.S. If you can’t wait to see more of this beautiful wedding, keep an eye out for more pictures next week!
