Questions To Ask Your Wedding Photographer
Finding the perfect photographer is key to remembering your wedding day. You want to find the right person to capture your precious memories. In today’s day and age, it can be hard to find someone who not only fits your budget, but also shoots in your style and is easy to work with. After all, you want that person to be present for all the big and little moments throughout the day. To help you find the right one, use my list of questions to ask as you interview your potential photographers.
Who will be my photographer on my wedding day?
How would you describe your style?
Do you bring your own lighting?
Have you shot at my venue before?
What is your backup plan if you are unable to make it?
How many weddings or events do you work a weekend?
Will you color correct or retouch my images?
What attire will you and/or your team wear?
How much of a deposit do you require at booking?
How many hours are included in your package?
Do you charge overtime or travel fees? What are they?
Do you create albums? If yes, it is outsourced?
How long do you keep the photos after my event?
Are you comfortable working in all types of weather?
How long will it be until I see my photos after my event?
What can I order through you? (High Res. DVD, Prints, Cards, etc.)
By knowing what questions to ask, I’m confident you’ll find the right person to capture your day. Aside from these questions, don’t forget to read the fine print, and of course – trust your instinct. If you don’t feel like he or she is easy to work with when you meet them, chances are they probably aren’t too easy going on wedding day!
